FlashForword Tipped For Season Two Renewal
By all appearances given its poor performance in the ratings across the pond in the USA, and the recent decline in ratings here in the UK. FlashForward shouldn’t be returning for a second season when the new 2010/11 television season starts in the Autumn.
Indeed most websites, analyst and experts in the field of genre entertainment have already written the show off along with the remake of ‘V’
All except one that is.
E! Online‘s Kristin Dos Santo has tipped the show for a second season. Dos Santo thinks International sales and distribution may well convince ABC to take another punt with the series, despite its poor domestic numbers. She reports that the shows relative low production costs offset against the profit that it is making internationally could be a strong enough case to by the show another season.
Kristin Dos Santo said: “There is most definitely a chance FlashForward will be renewed, because it actually does fairly well overseas and doesn’t hemorrhage as much money as you’d think.”
A source added: “This is a rare case where a low domestic performer could get a surprise pickup.”
The programme will learn its fate on May 18, when the network announces its new schedule.
