Are The Yeti Returning To ‘Doctor Who?’

Whovians are already looking forward to the seventh series of Doctor Who, which will be seen later in 2012. But who’s going to appear on the show to perplex Matt Smith‘s Doctor?

“Last year, producer Marcus Wilson revealed that a couple of classic Doctor Who monsters from the 60s and 70s are set to reappear in Series 7,” reported the doctorwhotv website. “The early word is that one of them is in fact the Yeti.”

For those fans not familiar with the Yeti, the site provides this description: “Despite their hairy appearance on the outside, the Yeti monsters were actually alien robots in the classic series. They first appeared in second Doctor story, ‘The Abominable Snowmen,’ originally broadcast in 1967. They came back the following year in ‘The Web Of Fear.’”
