‘Justice League’ #1 Gets Sixth Printing
When DC Comics decided they wanted to turn Justice League into their flagship title, they apparently made a wise choice!
According to DC’s blog The Source, the first ‘New 52′ issue has gone back for a sixth printing. Here’s the way it was described:
“Justice League #1 has sold out yet again, and will be going back to press for its sixth printing,” reported Josh Kushins. “It was Diamond Comic Distributors’ top-selling comic book of 2011 and is the most reprinted DC Comics title of the modern era. The sixth printing will be on sale in comic book stores on February 15, 2012.”
As recently reported, the fifth issue of this comic will hit shops a week late — January 25 instead of January 18, making it the first ‘New 52′ book to arrive behind schedule.
Not sure what the book is about? Justice League #1 brought fans five years into the past of the new DCU, a time when superheroes were feared by the public and operated separately from one another. They don’t know one another’s identities, and they certainly don’t trust each other. Writer Geoff Johns and artist Jim Lee were clearly aiming to establish the coming together of the Justice League so everyone’s pretty much on the same page.
No word on if the new printing will have a different cover.
