In a recent interview for The Washington Post Andrew Lincoln gave a few hints as to what we’re likely to see unfold in the forthcoming episodes of AMC’s smash hit zombie series The Walking Dead.

The actor told the newspaper that his character of Rick maybe forced to lead his fellow survivors away from Hershel’s (Scott Wilson) farm.

“Something happens and they realise very quickly that the farm is not as secure as they may think,” he explained.

Lincoln also discussed the secret message that Jenner (Noah Emmerich) whispered to his character in the show’s first season finale, suggesting that it may not have been good news.

“This is a scientist who seemingly held all the cards to what this epidemic is about,” said the British star. “You would imagine he would have something of value to say on that matter. Well, he chose to kill himself [instead].”

Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman recently teased fans by saying that “things are going to get worse” for our band of survivors.

“There are more dangerous things out there than the zombies,” he said. “Things just keep getting worse from here.”

The Walking Dead continues on Sundays at 9/8c on AMC. In the UK, the show airs on Fridays at 10pm on FX.
