‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Star Trek’ Team Up Comic From IDW

BleedingCool.com is reporting that IDW will be having a cross-over series between two major science fiction franchises: Doctor Who and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

The Doctor, Amy and Rory will meet Jean Luc Picard, William Riker, Data, and the rest of the Next Gen crew in a mini-series event beginning this May.

A picture, shown to the left, was offered up as an example of a cover that is to be used. There’s no credit listed, but I know my IDW artists, and that’s by Joe Corroney, a frequent cover artist on a majority of IDW Star Trek covers.

This is the first time the these two super franchises have partnered up, outside of fan speculations. Each franchise has teamed up with other characters before (Death’s Head in Who, and the current Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes series), but this is an epic team up.

A major announcement may be coming next weekend, as Gallifrey One, North America’s biggest WhoCon is occurring in Los Angeles, and IDW will be in attendance.
