Mark Williams On ‘Doctor Who’ Set Sparks Rumors

Is actor Mark Williams joining the cast of Doctor Who? 

That’s the question many Whovians are asking now that photos of the Harry Potter and Fast Show star have hit the Internet.

Williams has been spotted on the Wales set of Who where the crew are recording episode two of the long running sci-fi show. What’s he doing there?

“Now the rumor is that Williams—who’s also currently guest-starring on the BBC Three’s Being Human‘s fourth season as a vampire named Regus—will play Rory’s dad … which sounds highly plausible to us, since we can see the goofy, lovable resemblance between the two,” reported blastr.com.

The source of the rumours appears to be the owner of a private home in Church Road, Penarth, which is doubling for the marital home of the Doctor’s companions Amy and Rory Pond (Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill). That local resident reports that Williams was on set and later posted a picture of herself with the actor on social network site Twitter. (See that photo at the top of this article.)
