New International ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Trailer Released
It wasn’t long ago that a trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man spun its way into the public. Now, even more footage is out since a new international trailer has hit the Web.
Like the previous trailer, the latest footage reveals the blossoming relationship between Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), the mystery surrounding Peter Parker’s deceased parents (Embeth Davidtz and Campbell Scott), and the transformation of Peter’s friend Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) into Spidey’s main antagonist this time, the Lizard.
“This time we wanted to show Peter and Gwen a little bit more,” said Director Marc Webb. “To get to know more of the characterization, and a lot of the visual effects stuff that we’ve been working on, just to display the attitude of the film that we’re trying to create.”
“While it’s hard to pass judgement on a movie that only has a handful of trailers released so far, it does appear that Spider-Man will be in a different place than the trilogy of Spider-Man movies directed by Sam Raimi,” said Ryan from reelz.com. ”Webb has said previously that he didn’t want The Amazing Spider-Man to seem like ‘a remake of Sam Raimi’s movie’ and toldTHR that the new footage should relay to fans that the reboot aspect of The Amazing Spider-Man will ultimately translate into a fresh experience.”
