Voice Talent Announced For ‘Syndicate’ Video Game Reboot

As previously reported there is a video game reboot coming pretty soon and the game in question is Syndicate, which back in the 90s when I played it on the Omega was a cyberpunk science fiction strategy game in which you worked for a corporate syndicate and had to engage in spying and all manner of things in order to aid your syndicate to victory. And trust me when I say that sabotage was always an option.

Either way the new game, which is to be release shortly for X-Box, PS3 and PC looks to be playing up more to the action games of today, but we can but hope that it retains some of the smarts you needed in order to play its predecessors.

On the upside the game has attracted some incredible talent when it comes to actors that have been chosen to voice the various roles.

According to Digital Spy Rosario Dawson, Brian Cox and Michael Wincott are all lending their substantial voice talents to the game. Dawson will portray Lily Drawl, described as the “rising star” of the game’s EuroCorp organisation. Cox has been cast as Jack Denham, a “ruthless power” behind the fictional firm’s boardroom, while Wincott will play a senior agent named Jules Merit.

“I’m amazed how video games have become so deep in story, delivering fantastic worlds and memorable characters rivalling big Hollywood films,” said Dawson.

“I was excited when EA approached me to play Lily Drawl in Syndicate. She’s an interesting and strong female character. How cool is it to play the mastermind who designed the military chip inside the player’s head?”

Syndicate is released for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 on February 21 in North America and February 24 in Europe.
