Check Out New Fundraising Campaign For ‘RUR: Genesis’

Earlier this year producer and film director James Kerwin and actress and producer Chase Masterson set out to make a movie adaptation of a classic science fiction play called ‘RUR’.

Unfortunately their initial efforts to try and raise funds to make this classic play into a movie fell a little short of their target amount, which they needed to fund the production, but not wanting to give up on the idea Kerwin and Masterson are giving it another shot.

R.U.R. stands for Rossum’s Universal Robots and the stage play of R.U.R, which was penned by Karel Kapek is responsible for bringing the word Robot to the English language and has been the creative inspiration for many science fiction related books, TV shows and films that have robots in them. Movies such as Blade Runner for example owe much to R.U.R.

To learn more about R.U.R you can check out the video, which I have embedded below from the Indiegogo web page for the film.

Thus far the Indiegogo campaign has raised $6,265 of its $20,000 Goal. If you’d like to donate to a the R.U.R campaign you can do so by going to:

Please donate and help make this movie happen.
