‘Skyfall’ Breaks Box Office Records With International Debut
It appears that Bond is back and in a very big way.
According a new report coming from collider the latest Bond movie Skyfall has broke box office records by grossing £48.4 million ($77.7 million) two weeks before its US debut, which has broken the UK Saturday attendance record.
The film took a total of £20.2 million ($32.4 million) in the UK since its opening on Friday, October 26, making it the second-biggest opening in the country’s box office history behind the 3D Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
This is particularly impressive given that the film does not enjoy the higher ticket prices that all 3D films have.
The Sam Mendes-directed film, which stars Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem and Bérénice Marlohe, will debut in the US on Friday November 9.
