Syfy’s Face Off Halloween Finale

The finale for season three of the Syfy network’s reality show ‘Face Off’ is upon us in a two-part show beginning Tuesday night, which ends on Halloween with the winner being decided by the fans voting for their favorite final contestant.

Of the shows 11 original players, only 3 remain and literally face off against each other with a Halloween-themed contest, with the winner being announced on Wednesday’s live show. Tuesday night’s episode was fun and exciting. Seeing the three finalists work on their final projects from beginning to end was really good reality TV.

Some of the results was clearly top notch work from what will I am sure be future industry professionals. As to who will win the season out of the three remaining finalists of Laura, Nicole or Derek, my money is on Laura, but truthfully, the work created by all three on Tuesday night was amazing!

Whoever does win will be getting 100 thousand dollars, a new car, a year’s worth of makeup supplies and a very nice guest lecturing job at makeup schools in both New York and Paris, not to mention a new career. Although I would venture to say that just being on the show and reaching this stage has got to be a career boost!

The show is hosted by McKenzie Westmore, daughter to Michael Westmore who won an Oscar for Mask as well as nine Emmys for his amazing Star Trek work. Michael Westmore was a guest on Tuesday’s episode and met with each contestant as they were creating their pieces and gave them quite good advice.

Wednesday night will prove to be a fun episode and the beginning of someone’s dreams. While the judges did indeed say that Laura was the most talented Makeup artist on the show, the level of work created for this last Face-Off competition was fierce and the ultimate choice rests in the hands of the audience.
