Galactic Enquirer: Emperor sends troops to support Mike’s Comic & Collectables in Orlando, Fl
On November 23rd, 2012, a date also referred to by many inhabitants of Earth’s western hemisphere as ‘Black Friday’, members of the Intergalactic Imperial Empire affectionately known as the 501st Legion were dispatched by the Emperor himself in order to help promote Mike’s Comic & Collectables located at 8110 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando Florida 32809. This comic shop is well known through-out the farthest reaches of the galaxy and especially in and around Central Florida as an amazing comic book and collectable outpost!
The 501st members present patrolled Orange Blossom Trail in front of Mike’s Comic & Collectables, waiving at passing shoppers and inviting them to stop in and shop all the many discounted, toys, statues, comic books and assorted collectables on hand at close out post-Thanksgiving prices.
By order of Lord Vader himself, the troops were friendly, posed for pictures with all manner of alien whether human or otherwise, smiled beneath their helmets for each photo, and impressively did not execute any sentient life forms at all while promoting Mike’s Comic & Collectables.
That the Emperor would even send an Imperial detachment to aid Mike’s Comic & Collectables speaks volumes to the kind of establishment and well-loved comic book shop Mike’s indeed is! I myself make it a point to stop in and do my comic book purchasing whenever I find myself in that sector as I am treated well by Mike’s friendly and knowledgeable staff and always find a great deal.
While Bounty Hunters have also been rumored to frequent Mike’s in search of rare comics, collectables and carbonite frozen fugitives, this has never been proven true although I personally have seen Orion Slave girls employed at Mike’s from time to time.
Interestingly, another detachment of Imperial troops can be expected at Mike’s upcoming event; The Orlando Toy and Comic Con, which will be held on Sunday, January 20th, 2013 between 10 AM and 5 PM at the Radisson Hotel in Orlando. Admission is only ½ a bar of Gold Pressed Latinum, 26 Colonial Cubits, 364 Republic credits or if you reside in Central Florida admission is a mere $6.00 US dollars.
