In Review: Walking Dead #104

The latest issue of the Walking Dead comic series has just hit newsstands and both this book’s cover along with the story inside are as good and as wholesome as the Walking Dead gets! Actually this issue manages to surprise the reader in a new way, which is one the things I absolutely love about this book!

As Nagan’s group gets back to their headquarters with everything they have taken as tribute from Rick and his people, they find a stow away who is in no mood to play games. To the terror of those unfortunates in Carl’s way, he is in no mood to ask questions and simply opens fire. I think everyone will agree that Carl is the future of this book and is a little bad ass!

Jesus however does not fare so well as he is discovered and captured by Negan’s people as he tried to follow them back and discover the Warlord’s hide out. While he escapes just outside, we get to see what seems like a very well gated and protected old warehouse. Interestingly, Adlard and Kirkman show their apocalyptic creativity in yet new, innovative and horrific ways as we see an assortment of zombies purposefully positioned in such a way as to keep away walkers. All chained so to allow access into and out of the compound through a narrow corridor blocked off by cement barriers. *Note to self: Keep zombies away from hideout by keeping zombies near the hideout!

Rick on the other hand is dealing with the fall out from giving in to Negen’s demands by his group. Rick’s solution is quite simple however, leave if you don’t like it! Simply put, no one does and only time will tell how Rick’s plan will work out. This issue is fun and well written with great Pencils as well as an unexpected ‘Negan’ man hunt by Carl. Definitely pick this issue up my friends and enjoy every zombie world action packed panel!
