Royal Mail To Celebrate 50 Years Of ‘Doctor Who’ With New Stamps

Royal Mail is set to release a special collection of commemorative stamps to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who.

The First Class stamps, which will be released in March celebrate all incarnations of the popular UK science fiction series and include a stamp for all eleven regeneration’s of The Doctor, which will pay tribute to all the brilliant actors that have brought something fresh to the much loved character over the years.

The collection will also feature popular villains that have helped make Doctor Who so popular over the years with the release of four second-class stamps which depict Daleks, Cybermen, Ood and the Weeping Angels. A special miniature sheet will include these and a first class stamp featuring the TARDIS.

Each actor who has played the time lord will receive their own first class stamp with Patrick Troughton (the second doctor) and Sylvester McCoy (the seventh doctor) represented by images from their title sequences.
