Anna Paquin and Ellen Page Return To X-Men for ‘Days Of Future Past’

It looks like Bryan Singer is going back to key cast members from his earlier X-Men movies for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which is the sequel to the brilliant X-Men: First Class, which in my opinion is the best of the X-Men movies thus far.

As fans will know Anna Paquin, who has since gone onto play Sookie in the hit HBO series True Blood got her big break in Bryan Singer’s original two X-Men movies in which she played the part of Rogue. While Ellen Page played the role of Kitty Pryde in in the disastrous X-Men: Last Stand.

Bryan Singer announced the news on his Twitter account, posting: “Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast – thank you @BrettRatner for letting them live!”

As we all know X-Men: First Class was set in the 1960s and according to rumors the new film Days Of Future Past will be set a decade on in the 1970s, but Paquin’s role in will likely be part of the time travel element of the film, which sees the X-Men travelling in time to change a major historical event that could globally impact on man and mutant kind.

Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence are all expected to return in X-Men: Days of the Future Past, which is planned for a July 18, 2014 theatrical release in the US and UK.
