Fifth ‘Terminator’ Movie Ramping Up For Production

Last year it was announced that we’d be seeing a fifth Terminator film, which would see the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger to the role, which pretty much consolidated his place as a Hollywood action star.

Its fair to say that most fans of this movie series have been disappointed in the previous two movies of the series and are hoping the return of Arnie will see an improvement to the movie series, which seemed to fall from grace after the third movie when James Cameron passed on directorial duties.

According to Deadline Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures have picked up two writers, Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, to pen the latest robo-apocalypse thriller. Kalogridis has already been a writer on Avatar, Shutter Island and Alexander, while Lussier has worked on scripts for Wes Craven’s Dracula and My Bloody Valentine.

It’s certainly an interesting choice of writers. And we could see an interesting blend of science fiction with horror and the odd bit of drama, but the proof will be in the tasting.
