Producer J.J. Abrams has given some valuable insight into what fans can expect from the series finale of ‘Fringe,’ which will close out the series on 18 January.

Speaking at the recent TCA’s Abrams told reporters that the finale would be “incredibly emotional”.

“It will be great,” Abrams promised reporters at the event in Pasadena on Sunday (January 6).

Abrams went onto add that he hadn’t seen the final episode as of yet, but had read the script.

“I mean, the script is unbelievable. I think it will be incredibly emotional,” Abrams continued, adding: “If it’s not satisfying, I don’t know what satisfying is.”

The final episode of Fringe will air on Fox on Friday, January 18, and will be simulcast on Sky1 in the UK at 1.10am on Saturday, January 19.
