Mark Hamill To Guest in ‘The Neighbors’

It looks like Star Wars and Star Trek are about to cross Lightsabers.

The worlds of Star Trek and Star Wars are about to collide in the popular US sitcom The Neighbors. According to TVGuide Mark Hamill who played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy is due to guest alongside George Takei, who played Sulu in the classic Star Trek series.

Hamill will find himself in a suburb not so far away in the ABC comedy’s season finale, in which he plays a co-worker of Larry Bird’s dad, who will be played by Star Trek alum George Takei. According to Hollywood Reporter, Takei’s character visits Earth to make a big announcement.

Other than his three movie stint as heroic Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker Mark Hamill is widely known for his voice acting in animated series as well as video games. In the 90s Hamill starred as Blair in the popular Wing Commander video games, but it is his vocal performances as The Joker in various Batman animated series and animated films that he is best known for right now. The actor has also recently sent himself up in series such as Robot Chicken and from what i’ve seen of him. He handles comedy really well. So I for one will be looking out for this episode of The Neighbors.
