‘Merlin’ and ‘Game Of Thrones’ actors sink their chops into NBC’s ‘Dracula’
NBC has just cast two much loved genre actors in their new television series ‘Dracula,’ which is based on the iconic Bram Stoker novel.
‘Merlin’ actress Katie McGrath, who took wicked and evil to entirely new levels of sexiness with her portrayal of Morgana has been cast in the show along with ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Nonso Anozie.
Both actors have been cast as series regulars in the new NBC 10 – part ‘Dracula’ series, which stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the title role.
McGrath is to portray Lucy Westenra, Aristocratic London’s sexy, social butterfly who has a penchant for gossip, flirting and all things glamorous. A best friend to Dracula’s muse, Mina Murray (Arrow’s Jessica De Gouw), Lucy slowly gets herself entwined in a web of lies, lust and temptation that challenges the boundaries of their relationship.
Anozie will play R.M. Renfield, fiercely loyal confidante of Dracula’s alter ego, Alan Grayson. Renfield is the keeper of Dracula’s deepest and darkest secrets and the stabilizing force that allows his two personas to successfully coexist.
Aside from his role in Game Of Thrones Anozie has also played roles in The Grey and will next appear in the new Jack Ryan pic.
NBC has yet to set a premiere date for Dracula.
