Olympic Diver Tom Daley Would Like To Play ‘Tarzan’



One movie and television franchise that hasn’t seen to much action in recent years is Tarzan, but could all this be about to change?

In a recent interview to promote his reality tv show Splash Olympic Bronze Medalist Tom Daley revealed that he has ambitions beyond his international diving career.

The athlete revealed that he’d love to play the role of Tarzen in a remake of the classic film or even perhaps George of the Jungle.

Asked if he would like an acting career, Daley told Ok: “I would give it a go – how about a remake of Tarzan or George and the Jungle?”

The 18 – year old also revealed that he’d like to do more TV Work, saying: “I’d love to present something on Saturday night TV like Ant and Dec.”

A Tarzan remake helmed by Harry Potter director David Yates is currently in development with Warner Bros.

True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård was rumoured to be playing the iconic vine-swinger back in November.
