Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is looking forward to the fan reaction to his role in the forthcoming second Thor movie.

The former Lost actor takes on the dual part of Algrim the Strong and Kurse. According to comic book canon, Algrim is a powerful Dark Elf who is persuaded to fight Thor.

After betrayal leads to injury. Algrim transforms to the more powerful Kurse.

“It’s almost like he’s made out of stone,” Akinnuoye-Agbaje explained to The Los Angeles Times about his physicality as Kurse. “It’s an amalgamation of a bull and a lava-like creature.

“He has very animalistic tendencies but with this insatiable and unstoppable power. As an actor, that’s one of the hardest things to embody. You have to realise you are probably the most powerful thing you could imagine.

“And you have to be that. You can’t pretend, so that when you face Thor, it’s real.”

Thor: The Dark World will be released on October 30 in the UK, and November 8 in the US.
