An interesting rumor surfaced late last week that Ben Affleck, who played the role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the 2003 movie Daredevil film, which was lambasted by critics and fans alike was being considered for the role of Batman in Warners planned Justice League film.

The Argo helmer was previously linked with the director’s chair on the project, but Latino Review’s Elmayimbe claims to have heard that the studio also wanted him to star in the film.

“Fun and fabulous fanboy fact of the day: did ya know when Affleck was approached to direct Justice League they also wanted him to play Batman?” he wrote on Twitter.

After being quizzed about the Justice League movie. Affleck told press that he did not pass up the opportunity to direct Justice League due to the fact that he was never offered it in the first place.
