DC Comics Respond About ‘Green Lantern’ and ‘Young Justice’ Cancellations
Last week fans of DC’s animated series were treated to a double blow when the axe fell on Young Justice and Green Lantern. Both shows had been airing on The Cartoon Network and were a massive draw for both comic book and none comic book fans.
In a recent post on their facebook page DC Comics responded to those disappointed fans by thanking them for the support.
“Thank you to all our fans for expressing just how much they love DC Nation on Cartoon Network,” DC wrote on its Facebook page.
“There’s still more new Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series to enjoy in the coming weeks. And DC Nation isn’t going anywhere – There will be plenty of new adventures coming your way later this year.”
Upon hearing the news about these cancellations fans of the shows got pro active and launched an online petition to save the fan-favourite shows after it was revealed that they are not part of the new slate for the DC Nation programming block.
Both Green Lantern and Young Justice went on an unannounced break in 2012, with their recent return to the schedule believed to have come in order to finish airing their final completed episodes.
