Emily VanCamp Joining Cast of Captain America: The Winter Solder


Emily VanCamp who is best known for her role in ‘Revenge’ is apparently close to signing a deal to be the leading lady in Captain America: The Winter Solder.

According to Deadline the actress is in talks to appear opposite Chris Evans in the Marvel movie.

Deadline is not specific about what role VanCamp is going up for. The site just cites that she is up for the major female lead. Speculation is that she is likely to play the role of Sharon Carter, who is the niece of Peggy (Hayley Atwell).

It has also been reported that Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the next Captain America movie.

Toby Jones recently confirmed that he will return as Armin Zola, while Samuel L Jackson and Sebastian Stan will also reprise their roles.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will arrive in cinemas on April 4, 2014.
