George R.R. Martin Signed For two more years with HBO

George R.R. Martin, who wrote the A Song of Ice and Fire book series on which Game Of Thrones is based has signed a new two year contract with HBO, which means we may well be seeing a further two seasons of Game Of Thrones on the television.

As well as continuing as an executive producer on Game Of Thrones the acclaimed writer is going to develop an original new series exclusively for HBO.

The downside to Martin developing a new series is that it will likely delay him from completing the book series that he started with A Song of Ice and Fire, which apparently has two more books to go before it is complete.

Either way its great to see that a quality writer such as George R.R. Martin is being given license to produce more television and I for one can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
