Michael Ealy to play Android Cop in new Police drama from J.J. Abrams

For the last few months we have reported on and off about a new drama coming to Fox, which is to be produced by J.J. Abrams and centres on an Android Cop.
Well it looks like Fox has found the perfect man to portray the Android.
According to a new report from TV Line the part of Android Cop has gone to Michael Ealy, who is perhaps best known to genre fans for his role as Detective Sebastian in Underworld: Awakening and to TV viewers for his role in Common Law.
The untitled project is being billed as an action-packed buddy cop show, set in the near future, when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids.
Ealy is to play the part of Dorian, the android partner of LAPD officer John Kennex. The twist? Dorian understands humanity more than John!
As yet an actor for the role of John Kennex is to be selected.
The show is to be produced by J.J. Abrams and former Fringe showrunner J.H. Wyman.
