ROBIN SACHS, ‘BUFFY’ ACTOR, HAS DIED

London born ACTOR Robin Sachs, best known for playing Rupert Giles’ magically-inclined troublemaking frenemy Ethan Rayne on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has passed away. Today would have been his 62nd birthday.
According to the announcement on Sachs’ official fansite:

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Robin Sachs. Please join us in raising a glass to Robin – goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for all the laughter and the cookies. We will miss you so very much.

Cast in movies and on TV since 1972, Sachs has also appeared in such films as Galaxy Quest, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park; on TV in Babylon 5, Star Trek: Voyager, Castle, and Torchwood; the animated Resident Evil: Damnation, and Fantastic Four; and voiced roles in numerous video games such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Resident Evil: Outbreak – File #2.

Sachs, a resident of Los Angeles, was the son of actors Leonard Sachs (Doctor Who) and Eleanor Summerfield.
