“The Rock” wants to be in Star Wars episode VII

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be the first to admit that growing up he was a huge G.I. Joe and Star Wars fan! So when he got a call asking if he wanted to have an important role in the upcoming G.I. Joe Retaliation, he jumped at the chance!

“I played with two lines of action figures when I was a kid: G.I. Joe and Star Wars. By the way, because we didn’t have a lot of money, I used to steal them. I’d just rip open the packages and shove ‘em in my pockets … like a lot of kids. I got caught a couple of times, got my ass kicked by my parents.

If you ask me, when an actor or any professional for that matter really likes and is into what they are working on, it will show in the final product. While I was not greatly impressed with the last G.I. Joe film, I am looking forward to the next installment, partly because The Rock is in it!

But now, Mr. Johnson is not being shy about his desire to be in Disney’s upcoming Star Wars VII film, which is being directed by the Jedi-like J.J. Abrams. Johnson went on to say, “So when I got the call saying, ‘How do you feel about becoming the leader of the G.I. Joes?’, it was like if I got a call from George Lucas saying, ‘I want you to be in Star Wars’ …”

It seems quite clear that The Rock REALLY wants to have a part in the next Star Wars film and also said, “I’m gonna call J.J. and you’re gonna help by printing it and I’m gonna be in Star Wars!”

How can any content editor for any self-respecting Sci Fi web-site not do what The Rock says in this regard? So, excuse me Mr. Abrams? You have a call from Mr. Johnson on the priority sub-space channel. Oh and by the way, he was on Star Trek Voyager so he’s already been in space.
