Stallone picks Australian Director for ‘Expendables 3′

The third helping of Sylvester Stallone’s over the top action movie series ‘The Expendables’ will soon be ready to call action.

Sylvester Stallone has chosen Australian director Patrick Hughes to helm the third part in the ongoing movie series. However Hughes still has to win Approval from the heads of Millennium, the company behind the action movie series.

According to sources Hughes is soon to fly into the USA to meet with Millennium in order to prove to them that he is capable of taking on the movie.

Hughes is a relative newcomer with one feature film under his belt: Red Hill, the acclaimed thriller that starred Ryan Kwanten as a city police officer having a hell of a first day in a small country town.

Expendables 3 is expected to welcome back the majority of its action stars, including Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren. The producers hope to add Wesley Snipes to the fold as well as they eye a shoot in late July-early August.
