Marton Csokas joins cast of ‘Amazing Spider-man 2′

Marton Csokas, who is perhaps best known for his role of Celeborn in the Lord Of The Rings movies and perhaps most recently for Jimmy Laszlo in the television series Rogue has won a plumb role in Marc Webbs second Spider-man movie ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2.’

According to Hollywood Reporter Csokas will play the role of Dr Kafka. In comics continuity, Dr Ashley Kafka is the female founder of the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane.

Though confirmation of him playing that gender switched role is as yet to be confirmed.

He will join Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Chris Cooper and BJ Novak in the film.

Csokas portrayed the Elven King Celeborn in Lord of the Rings. The New Zealand actor also featured in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will debut on May 2, 2014.
