Dominic Cooper would consider ‘Doctor Who’ role
Another name that has recently been linked as one of the contenders to take over the lead in ‘Doctor Who’ from Matt Smith is Dominic Cooper.
Speaking in yesterday’s This Morning program the actor said that he’d love to have a shot at taking over from Matt Smith.
“I would definitely consider it… it would be very, very scary.
“Matt’s done an incredible job of it, and he’s made it so different and daring and I wouldn’t know where to begin with where to take that after what he has done.”
He added: “But, of course, it’s an incredible show – you couldn’t possibly not consider it.”
Asked if those compiling a shortlist could put a tick by his name, Cooper said: “Absolutely!”
Lead writer and Executive Producer Steven Moffat recently dismissed rumors of an announcement coming soon saying that the search had barely started for the 12th Doctor.
We’ll likely be keeping up on any new developments with regards to the 12th Doctor as and when more information becomes available, but even we wouldn’t want to bet money on who it would be just yet.
