Joanna Page describes ‘Doctor Who’ 50th anniversary as fun and scary

In a new interview Joanna Page has described the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode as “fun”, “scary” and “intimidating”.

The Gavin and Stacy star is to appear alongside Matt Smith and David Tennant in the anniversary episode.

“It was so much fun getting to act with the different Doctors but it was quite scary and intimidating at first,” Page told the Radio Times.

She added: “I’ve wanted to be in Doctor Who for ages. They just phoned and said, ‘Will you be in it?’ and I said, ‘Oh my god, yes, definitely’.”

The actress refused to divulge any story details about the special episode and called the level of secrecy for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode “Scary.”

“Your script arrives and on every single page it says ‘Joanna Page’ over it, so you know that if you leave it on the Tube or if you’ve forwarded it to someone, you are in the s**t,” she joked.

Doctor Who’s 50th special will air on Saturday, November 23 on BBC One.
