The force was strong in the Star Wars universe yesterday and it was all down to a casting call sheet released covertly by some cunning spies at Bleeding Cool.

According to the website the following character descriptions are 100% legit.

Roles include an independent teenage girl and a good-looking male in his late 20s.

The casting calls are as follows:

  • Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.
  • Young 20-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.
  • A late 20-something male, fit, handsome and confident.
  • A 70-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’t need to be particularly fit.
  • A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.
  • A 40-something male, fit, military type.
  • A 30-something male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.

JJ Abrams will direct the project, after George Lucas gave up control of the next Star Wars sequel as part of a $4.05 billion sale of his company Lucasfilm to Disney.

Star Wars Episode 7 is being written by Michael Arndt, and will go into production in early 2014.

Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are expected to reprise their roles from the original trilogy for Episode 7.
