Michael Caine to head up cast of ‘The Secret Service’

British screen legend Sir Michael Caine has been rumored to be selected to play the lead agent in the big screen adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book series ‘The Secret Service.’

The film is to be directed by Matthew Vaughn, who collaborated with Millar on the first Kick-Ass movie.

In a message to his fans on Twitter Millar teased his followers with the following message:

“Flurry of tweets asking about the great @themichaelcaine joining our Secret Service movie. Very interesting, but only Fox can confirm :)

Leonardo DiCaprio has been rumoured for the film while Jack O’Connell, John Boyega and Christian Cooke are said to be vying for the starring role of a troubled young man who is recruited into a school for secret agents.

20th Century Fox’s The Secret Service is scheduled for release in the US on November 14, 2014. A UK date is yet to be announced.
