Pacific Rim was stunning, fun and a thrilling ride!
What can I say about this movie that is not being said the movie world over? I took my son to see this monster movie and came away with so much more! The sense of adventure, the human drama, the individual triumph, the survival of humanity, and all in only two and a half hours. I simply loved it!
This movie was the art of Guillermo del Toro from beginning to end as my son and I simply walked out of that movie on a suspension of disbelief high! Grinning from ear to ear, it made me think of leaving the movie theater with my Dad as a young boy after seeing movies like Star Wars and both of us pretending to have been a part of the movie and reliving our favorite scenes as we walked to the car!
What entertainment, vision and artistry brought to a genre that was little more than rubber suits and cheesy city sets when I was a kid. This Epic was simply so much more and I can only hope that there is a sequal to this movie in which we get to see the future adventures of the likes of ‘Gypsy Danger’! What a magnificent Lady she was!
