Two new clips revealed from ‘The Worlds End’

One film I am looking forward to this year is the conclusion to a trilogy of movies, which started with the fantastic ‘Shawn Of The Dead.’

The movie in question is of course ‘The Worlds End,’ which celebrates the British tradition of the pub crawl, but adds a little bit of a deadly twist. And when Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are involved you can expect much hilarity and many geeky pop cultural references.

Two new scenes from the movie have been released and you can check them out below.

The first clip introduces Pegg as selfish man-child Gary King, who orchestrates the pub crawl and ultimately becomes humanity’s only hope for survival, as signs of an apocalyptic invasion begin to appear in the town of Newton Haven.

In the second clip, Rosamund Pike appears as Sam, the sister of Freeman’s character and a former flame of Gary’s.

‘The Worlds End’ completes the trilogy of films penned by Edgar Wright, which included ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz.’

Wright describes ‘The Worlds End’ as more mature and darker than its predecessors, being primarily about growing up.

The World’s End is released on July 19 in the UK, and August 23 in the US.
