Ian Hart joins cast of ‘Agents Of Shield’
British actor Ian Hart has joined Joss Whedon’s hot new series ‘Agents Of Shield’ in a recurring role.
The actor who is best known for roles in Luck, Dirt and A&E’s Bates Motel is to play a scientist in the series, but as yet specific details on his character other than that are unknown.
Hart is no stranger to genre fans. He played the role of Professor Quirrell in the Harry Potter movie series and also played Dr. John Watson in a few BBC Sherlock Holmes drama’s, which did not have the same impact as the recent ‘Sherlock’.
Avengers director Joss Whedon recently said that it would be a “bonus” to have Marvel’s superheroes appear on Agents of SHIELD.
Avengers cast members Cobie Smulders and Clark Gregg will reprise their roles for the new ABC series, while Samuel L Jackson and Tom Hiddleston have also expressed an interest in appearing on the small screen.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD premieres on ABC on Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c.
