One of the major stories on Doctor Who for the 50th anniversary episode, which will air in November is that John Hurt is playing a Doctor that came between 8 and 9.

Well it appears that Hasbro and the BBC have come up with a regeneration that is to take place between 11 and 12 in the form of a new 11th Doctor Who potato head.

The one-of-a-kind collectible, which was debuted at Comic-Con, has eight removable parts and pieces. New Doctor Who potatoes will be announced later this year.

“We are excited to be working with BBC Worldwide and Hasbro this year on such an exciting property,” said Dean Gorby, business manager for PPW Toys.

“Fans of Doctor Who have such a strong connection with the show and will be delighted to see the extraordinary transformation of Mr Potato Head as he personifies these iconic characters.”

Doctor Who Mr Potato Head products will be available at speciality retailers and e-tailers in Europe, the US and Australia.
