Gil Gerard to witness NASA mission to ISS

Gil Gerard, best known for his portrayal of Capt. Buck Rogers on the hit show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, let his fans and friends know that he was en route to Houston’s Johnson Space Center, in order to witness Wednesday’s, September 25th, 2013, launch to the International Space Station.

The expedition will begin with the launch of a Soyuz 36 (TMA-10M) from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, which will carry three Expedition 37/38 crew members to the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins (who will be the first member of the 2009 NASA astronaut class to fly into space), along with two  Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryzansky, expect to launch aboard a Soyuz spacecraft in order to join their Expedition 37 crewmates aboard the International Space Station.

With Gil “Buck Rogers” Gerard standing watch over the launch, what could go wrong!? SciFi Pulse wishes a safe journey to all crew members.
