Travis Fimmel to head up cast of ‘World Of Warcraft’ movie?

Travis Fimmel, who is best known for his role in ‘Vikings’ is in the cross hares for a leading role in the forthcoming movie adaptation of the ‘World Of Warcraft’ game series.

The actor is yet to receive a formal offer but he is a favourite for one of the four leads, says Variety.

Studio Universal has announced that the film will release on December 18, 2015, with shooting scheduled for January 2014.

Warcraft will be directed by Duncan Jones (Moon & Source Code) from a script by Charles Leavitt and Jones.

Paul Dano and Anton Yelchin were recently reported to be in line to star.

Colin Farrell and Paula Patton have also been rumoured to join, along with Anson Mount.

Warcraft is based on the massively popular video game franchise from Blizzard.
