Trailer for ‘Lego: The Hobbit’ video game premiers

Last weekend saw the premier of ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug,’ which is the second movie of Peter Jackson’s ‘Lord Of The Rings’ prequel trilogy.

Yesterday however saw the premier of the much talked about ‘Lego: The Hobbit,’ which is the latest in a series of Lego tie in video games for popular movies and comic book properties.

‘Lego: The Hobbit’ features all the voice talent from the Peter Jackson movies and from what little is revealed in the clip. It seems to be a retelling in game form of Jackson’s first ‘Hobbit’ movie ‘An Unexpected Journey.’

Of course with this being a Lego style game all the characters are somewhat cuter than their real life counterparts, which makes the game ideal for kids of all ages from 4 to 99.

Lego: The Hobbit will launch in 2014 across multiple video games formats.
