Warner announce release date for new movie adaptation of ‘Peter Pan’

The folks at Warner Bros have revealed the release date for a new movie adaptation of ‘Peter Pan’.

Atonement director Joe Wright is attached to Pan, which is being adapted from JM Barrie’s novel by Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Driftt).

The studio has revealed that the movie will hit US cinemas on June 26, 2015 in 3D.

Exact storyline details for Pan have not yet been unveiled by Warner Bros.

Academy Award winner Javier Bardem was reported in November to be in talks to play the evil pirate Blackbeard.

Captain Hook is also expected to be in the movie.

Disney and Sony are believed to be working on new Peter Pan movies as well.
