’1984′ remake to star Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart
It would seem that Big Brother is watching and is to be ever present in a new remake of the 1956 ’1984′ movie, which is based on the classic George Orwell novel.
Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult are to star in the remake, which will bring a modern sensibility to the timeless story of an oppressed society.
The pair will play loves in an upcoming movie titled ‘Equals’
Stewart spoke about the film to The AP, saying: “I can’t believe I agreed to do it. I’m terrified of it. Though it’s a movie with a really basic concept, it’s overtly ambitious.”
“It’s a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion,” she added. “I’m scared.”
Equals will be directed by Drake Doremus, who previously directed the 2011 film Like Crazy starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Stewart, who was recently named the face of Chanel, added: “I trust Drake’s process and I know we will do something really natural and real. But I told Drake, ‘Don’t expect that I am going to be able to do this. It’s too hard’.
“But he wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. I’ve given directors disclaimers before, but never this much.”
