Ian’s Roving Editorial: The ‘Indiana Jones’ Influence On Television
Written by Ian Cullen on May 5, 2010 – 8:55 am -I haven’t wrote one of these in some time. However for some reason I felt compelled to write something based on my recently having revisited a certain television show, which I haven’t seen since 1982. A show that some say was televisions answer to the Indiana Jones movies.
Anyway, I got to thinking the other day about the influence Indiana Jones had on television when he first blasted into our cinema’s and I think many younger readers will be surprised at my findings.

Ian’s Roving Editorial: My Favourite Doctor Who Moments
Written by Ian Cullen on April 3, 2010 – 12:35 pm -It’s hard to believe that were up to Doctor number 11. Indeed when I was a kid it all started with Doctor number three who was portrayed by the late Jon Pertwee, but for me it was Tom Bakers Fourth Doctor that hooked me.
My earliest Doctor Who memory is decking behind the sofa when I seen a creepy hand move in a old fashioned Tupperware lunch box, in the Hand Of Fear, which was a highly atmospheric earth based adventure set in the modern day. I was about five years old at the time and from that moment on was hooked.
Tom Baker to me was what David Tennant has been to the current generation of Doctor Who fans, and I have to admit. I was deeply saddened when he left the role and replaced by Peter Davison, but after awhile I accepted him. So I say to kids watching now. Give Matt Smith a chance, you may end up loving him. He may even be your first Doctor, much like Tom Baker was mine.
Like just about every fan out there. Whether a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars or Doctor Who. I have my favourite moments from the series, and below is a list of my top ten classic and modern Doctor Who moments. All listed in reverse order of course.

Ian’s Roving Editorial: Musings & My Return From Thought Bubble
Written by Ian Cullen on November 24, 2009 – 4:56 pm -
To date 2009 has been a busy year for me with scifipulse.net and many other things relating to both website and radio show, which you can check out at www.blogtalkradio.com/scifipulse or by typing in SciFiPulse as your keyword on iTunes.
I’ve not written anything for the Roving Editorial for a fair few months. So I thought it would be nice to revisit to let you know about some of the things that have been going on in my life as a SciFi and Fantasy fan. First off have got a new wardrobe and have had an extension built onto the basement in which have been living.
Only kidding about the basement and wardrobe.
Like most web-master’s and podcasters out there I’ve been busy networking and doing interviews and features on lots of different things and with many different people. For example before I started to write this late last night. I was interviewing Chase Masterson for a feature we’ll run on the website late tomorrow, and before that I was traveling home from the Thought Bubble comics convention. Read more »
