“Damn the torpedoes, warp speed ahead!”
That’s the motto for Starship Farragut, a fan film group that gets its name from two historical vessels.
These ships have been named for David Farragut, a 19th century sailor and commander of a U.S. Navy blockade squadron during the American Civil War. Farragut is best known for giving the order: “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!”
