Fans Around The World Give Thanks For New Moon

New Moon, the latest movie from the Twilight franchise, continued its winning ways around the world, according to Variety.
In the United States, Moon wolfed down another $66 million over the five-day holiday period, bringing in $42.5 million of that total during the weekend. That was a drop of 70 percent, but movie gurus weren’t surprised because of the film’s limited appeal to males.
This total added to other markets around the world brought Moon to a worldwide income of $85.1 million. Outside the U.S., the film only dropped a relatively benign 31 percent. In the U.K., Moon collected another $31.5 million while France added $28 million to the film’s take and Australia and Italy each contributed $23 million.
So, in ten days, the movie has grossed $473.7 million around the world.

Reynolds Dishes On Green Lantern And Deadpool Movies
Written by Wayne Hall on November 30, 2009 – 11:30 am -
Ryan Reynolds is grateful for comic books — two of the films the actor is working on are based on comics’ characters. So what does he think about them? He talked about both Green Lantern (from DC Comics) and Deadpool (from Marvel Comics) during an interview with MTV, according to the getthebigpicture website.
“I’ve known about Green Lantern my whole life, but I’ve never really followed it before. I fell in love with the character when I met with director Martin Campbell,” Reynolds said. “When I sat down with him, I really got what it is that this guy is all about.”
“When you have a guy like Martin Campbell, part of his charm is that he has balls of titanium, and the other part is that he’s slightly crazy, and you have to be to take on something with the scope of Green Lantern,” he said.
“He’s less of the director and more of a general. He just really knows strategies, he knows the intricacies, and his attention to detail! It’s infectious,” according to Reynolds. “I sat down with him, and I could not even believe what he was saying. When I went to the meeting, I was entirely cynical. I thought, ‘What the hell, I’ll see what they have to say,’ and I left the room with a completely different perspective.”

Tennant Will View His Last Doctor Who
Written by Wayne Hall on November 30, 2009 – 11:00 am -
David Tennant recently told Reader’s Digest magazine that he plans to watch his final episode as The Doctor, according to The Paisley Daily Express.
As reported previously, the first part of The End Of Time will be shown on Christmas Day at 7:30 p.m. The second special will air on New Year’s Day at 7:30 p.m.
“It’s my last Doctor Who. It will be nice to witness that,” he said.
Doctor Who fans (called Whovians) will not be disappointed with the way he exits, he said. “This year, we’ve done something different. It is still set at Christmas but it’s perhaps not got quite as much Christmas cheer as before.”
