According to Digital Spy DC Comics have recently announced that they’ll be releasing eight new one – shots to bring closure to previously cancelled comics.
The company told an audience at the Baltimore Retailer Summit that they’ll be placing their Blackest Night event comics on hold in January 2010, and would be releasing a series of One – Shots instead.
The eight issues will be Starman #81, The Atom and Hawkman #46, Catwoman #83, Phantom Stranger #42, The Power of Shazam! #48, The Question #37, Suicide Squad #67 and Weird Western Tales #71.
All the above issues will bring closure to those comics, but will also deal with issues currently being covered in the DC Universe.
DC went on to add that their hugely that Starman – written by James Robinson would not feature its former starring character Jack Knight.
Instead the character will be replaced with a Black Lantern, who will not be Knight.
