Dushku Teases Dollhouse Season Two For UK Viewers

Fans in the USA have been enjoying Dollhouse for the last three weeks now, but as ever there’s always a slight lag between American and UK airings of the show, but SciFi Channel UK have done really well to get the show on the air so quickly this time out, and UK fans that have waited patiently will be rewarded on Tuesday 20, October when the second season starts at 10pm.
In a recent interview for UK Listings Magazine TV And Satellite Week. Eliza Dushku who plays the lead role of Echo in the series hinted at what UK viewers can expect to see as the second season unfolds.
When discussing the new show Dushku revealed that it has the same heart and guts, but the game has changed somewhat from what we saw in the first season, and Echo is becoming a bit more self aware as the show moves forward.
“She’s still operating as an Active, but the imprints aren’t working properly and she is experiencing the personalities all at one time. Echo is evolving and starting to remember who she is. She is no longer unaware of her surroundings. She is no longer blank and two – dimensional; she is starting to figure it out.”
When it comes to some of Echo’s newer imprints the UK audience can look forward to some pretty sexy and classy stuff.
“I’ll be doing a little burlesque dancing later in the series. At the end of the last series, we had a wrap party at a nightclub in LA with all these girls dancing, so I asked Joss Whedon to write it into the show.”
When asked about any potential romance in the series Dushku said that we can look forward to a bit of chemistry between Echo and FBI Agent Paul Ballard who is now in the employ of the Dollhouse as her handler. “There are a lot of things building up” Dushku teased.
Dollhouse season two gets its UK Premier on Tuesday, 20 October on the UK SciFi Channel at 10pm. Immediately after Chuck on Virgin One, meaning that your most avid genre fans will have a three hour block of SciFi with the new series of SGU airing on Sky 1 at 8pm, Chuck on Virgin One at 9pm and Dollhouse on SciFi at 10pm.
