Haley Debunks Green Lantern Rumours

Actor Jackie Earle Haley has been making a name for himself of late by playing iconic villains and anti heros. Haley helped kick off the 2009 summer movie season as Rorschach in the big screen adaptation of the hit DC Comic Watchmen.
His performance as Rorschach helped Haley secure the role of Freddie Kruger in the rebooted Nightmare On Elm Street, and pretty soon television veiwers will get to see him play the role of Guerrero in the forthcoming Fox television series Human Target, which is also based on a DC Comic book title.
So it comes as absolutely no surprise that rumours have been circulating that he will play Sinestro in the forthcoming Green Lantern movie, but this is not going to be the case.
In a recent chat with SciFi Wire Haley shrugged and laughed off the rumour by saying, “”People keep asking me about this. I don’t know anything about it. … I’ve got to learn who that is.”
This doesn’t mean that he is completely out of the running for the part though. In truth as the actor has more or less admitted. He hasn’t been approached or even heard about the role. This said the actors internet fan base has been extremely vocal in the past, and Haley has actually credited his fans with having helped him secure some pretty meaty roles. So fans. How about you help the guy out and make some noise.
