More Murmurings About Campbell’s Spidey 4 Role

Ever since Bruce Campbell told Access Hollywood that he will likely have a larger role in the fourth Spider-man movie. Speculation has been writhe about what that role could be.
Many fan sites claim that the actor is likely to play the role of Mysterio whereas I think an actor of Campbell’s build and talents would be better suited to play Kraven the Hunter. Either way it’s very much a guessing game for fans as to the type of role that Sam Raimi has in mind for the actor.
All we know from Campbell is that he will have a substantial role in the new Spider-man movie, and in a recent interview for MTV director Sam Raimi who has collaborated with Campbell on a great many movies in the past confirmed that it would be a substantial role for the actor, but still gave no hint as to what role it would be.
“I promised him we would write something because I really love putting him in the pictures,” he said. “I promised him a good, meaty role.”
Screenwriter Gary Ross is currently working on a script for the project. Sony Pictures is planning a 2011 release.
